Check out what KRANK customers are saying about their new gear!! We feel very proud of the feed back we are getting about the clothing and thought we would share their thought's with you.
Hi Neil Have just come back from 3 weeks annual leave to my new Blast. Wow! What a treat! Weather here has turned to custard so have been excited to be able to put the Blast through its paces. The Medium sizing is perfect. Warm and toasty? Absolutely! Windy day? What wind?! Light shower? All dry! In fact I’m now so warm that that Slink is back in the drawer and I’m just wearing a CoolMax singlet underneath. Fantastic! Once again a great product doing exactly what it says it’ll do. All the best to you and the Krank team. Happy riding! J
Thanks for the fantastic jacket! Bought the T Bone several months ago and it has been the best. It is great to be able to go out on a big ride and then wear it to the pub afterwards to rehydrate (if it's not too muddy). It will be so much cheaper than any imported garment as it has taken some hits already but being of extremely good quality there are no gravel rashes on it. It's nice to be able to have big spill and not burn through your clothing. It's also nice to be able to deal with genuine and down-to-earth people who are interested in living and recreation and not just profits. Will definitely be buying another T Bone if they still exist when mine wears out! Thanks Krank, Ross NZ
Hi Neil The gloves arrived this morning as I was walking out the door. Of course I immediately threw off the old gloves and got cold hands while opening the courier pack on the door step. Chucked on the Krank gloves and headed for work in -2 degC. Mid way my finger tips were cold but the tips were cold already before putting them on so it wasn't really a fair test. However a couple of km's later my fingers actually began to get warm and by work they seemed to be warm and normal :-) I'm impressed as never had that happen before with the Ground Effect winter gloves, even when brand new. So thanks for the gloves, they're great ! cheers Colin
Hi Neil and thanks for the update. We were biking on the West Coast over the long weekend and dropped to see you at Hanmer on Monday but you were at lunch and Mark was on deck. Perhaps we might have the opportunity to meet next time. You may be interested to know that I took my new T-Bone jacket with me to the Coast and it was absolutely brilliant. Good tough reliable gear and a real fashion statement to boot. Also Sandra my wife purchased a merino tank top from your Hanmer store when we dropped in on Monday and she loves it, especially the small sizing. I have a ride planned for this weekend and would love to my new shorts in time for that if possible. Keep up the good work! Regards Chris
I've been riding with the Krank gear for well over two years now. As an everyday commuter and a weekend hack, the kingpins are still going strong and look and feel as good as they did in 2006. The tops are still good despite their contact with my masculine glow, muddy outings and numerous washes. I've put several of my mates on to your dirtwear and they're as happy as I am. All the gear performs exactly like it says on the packet! And I have no doubt I'll find the same with the T-Bone. Let me take this opportunity to say thanks for your ever conscientious customer service, sizing advice, speedy delivery and quality of product. Stephen, Melbourne
Hey guys, just thought I'd send you a quick line to tell you bout how happy I am about my Blast jacket... I bought it about 3 years ago and have been mainly wearing it for after-ride-coffee trips or around town to look cool and be warm. I added a full zip to it but I've seen you changed that now in your style - good thinking! Anyway, I have the pleasure of living at Lake Okareka now, which is just out of Rotorua before Blue Lake - perfect excuse to ride to work through the Rotovegas Forest and hit some trails for breakfast! Now that winter has hit us, my Blast jacket is with me every morning and I'm so glad I have it! Guess you guys are out riding in the snow by now, the closest we get to that is ice on the road, makes some cool skidding....! Cheers, KatGot my Highside Jacket on Friday....the package was so light I didn't think anything was in it LOL !. I put it through its paces yesterday and have to say I am very, very happy with it. I have been through a fair few cycling jackets over the past 20 yrs and this has to be the best by far. Extremely light (you wouldn't know you were wearing it), excellent wind chill factor and breaths really well when you start to warm up and quality of the jacket , finish etc is just excellent, well done guys . Part of the ride my arm brushed up against a bush with thorns on it , DOH ! there goes me new jacket !. Not a mark on it, did dot rip it at all....awesome material. Branches etc just glide over its silky smooth material. The small is a perfect fit for me , couldn't be better. Really dig the thumb loops aswell and the soft collar make riding very comfortable without the chaffing you get with some jackets. Vince...Thanks for the follow up. I was going to email you tomorrow morning in regards to them. Well to say I’m happy is a BIG understatement the Rockets are a revelation! If only my bum bones had known about them earlier, they are quite simply the comfiest thing I’ve ever worn on the bike. I didn’t feel like I had to buy them so don’t worry about that and like I said I guess that mine are very custom now as no one else will have upside down Kranks. Thanks again and I look forward to catching up on the sweet Hanmer trails sometime. Cheers ScottHi guys, just like to say how pleased I am with the womens Miscela top I got. I was amazed at the quick service, value for money and added extras (bag for smelly gear is brilliant!). You will shortly be seeing another order from our household as the other half was so impressed with the fabric and fit that he is going to make an order also. Great job, great product, well done. At first, those of us in California were skeptical with a brand from New Zealand. I/we thought, "How could their gear/conditions/climate match ours, what with the birth of the sport on the hillsides of Mt. Tamalpais in Marin County?" Believe you me, Krank cranks and matches any of the brands available here in the States. Of the bevy of manufacturers offering goods here (and tested by yours truly), none match the comfort, design and looks of those offered by the boy(s) (and wife!) southeast of Africa. Just yesterday I split my lip and took a good dose of poison oak (oh how I hope this nefarious plant has not found its way to your island nation!) on the bicep. Yet the Jet shirt spoiled me and my story of disaster in the pub; it took plant/soil stains and stress, shrugged them off and asked for more. What are you feeding the nylon down there? This goes without mention of the shorts; why is it that an international order is required for comfort? Thanks Krank, and if ever in the (NorCal) westside of the evil empire, tell Neil to hook you up with Gavin.
Just getting back to you after my 60km ride with the Steamers. It was a great day for a ride yesterday, made possible by nice low 20's temperatures, plenty of sunshine and a great pair of shorts! I'm quite impressed, they were really comfortable for the whole ride. I'm also really happy with the look and length of them. They feel very strong and durable which should make them last a long time! So thankyou heaps - now I can start looking around for some more 60km rides!! Darren.
Just wanted to drop you a quick note to tell you I received my Steamers shorts. I received them just a few days after ordering them which totally surprised me as much of the gear I have ordered from US companies takes even longer. I have road with them about 5 times so far and could not be happier. They are the best shorts I have used. No problems catching the seat and totally comfortable. I may have been able to go with the medium but they still fit well. I will be ordering another pair in a few weeks so I can get rid of the other crap I have been riding in. Also thank you for the stickers and bag. Keep up the great work. I will let all of my riding buddies know where to purchase their shorts. Thanks again. John Kromis
More than happy for you to use any of my feedback in your testimonials. By the way, I meant to mention how rapt I am with the jacket I bought late last year. I’ve worn it heaps in pretty average riding conditions and it performs a lot better in drizzle and rain than I anticipated whilst being a great all-round jacket. The other great aspect of the Highside is you don’t overcook in it; you’ve achieved a great balance of keeping the elements at bay whilst allowing the jacket to breathe. Most impressed. The shorts are also the most comfortable baggys I have worn. Stuart
Hi Neil Nola from up North, just wanted to say that Ive worn the Womens Baggies, cant remember the name of them ( Power Pants ), though they arent really baggy, and now love them, took a bit of getting used to but really enjoy wearing them even in the hot weather, and I also love my Krank Singlet Tank top that I got off you guys, its fabulous on a hot day, I ripped around the tracks in Rotovegas the other day in the heat (Whakawerawera) Mountain Bike Tracks, the Disneyland of MTBng in Rotorua Blah Blah and anyway the clothing is just awesome. Thanks so much for putting out such awesome gear, and my Husband absolutely loves his Rockets, reckons they are the best cycle shorts hes ever worn. Awesome Stuff Guys, Keep up the good work, may be coming to you soon for a Windproof Shell for winter!!! Argh already thinking of that awful season, mud, rain, cold, fun though.
Just a quick note to say good on ya for the AMP cycle shirts you produced recently. I wore mine at the recent Hamilton Mountain Bike races on Wednesday night and it has to be the most comfortable mid-weight shirt I have used. Lots of people said it looked great and I think I may have gained a couple of new clients too...Plan to give it a thrash in the Redwoods this weekend and can't wait. The zip pocket in the back is great for car keys & phone, with the smaller pockets being just right for gells etc. Thanks for making my favourite shirt! Glenn (Hamilton).
I got the tankit today and it looks great. Now just needs to get warm enough to wear it!
I just wanted to let you know that I used your service as an example to my team, on what service should look like, and how to make customers feel good. I run an IT Services Management team who has the mandate to look over all of our customer facing services, ensuring our customers get what they want. Every week in our team meeting we have an agenda item "examples of professional service". Yesterday I used your quick delivery, personalised letters etc as an example of how to make a customer feel valued. It sparked a great conversation and some reflection on an area where we think a team in our organisation may not be doing so well - which we are now going to address! So there you go! Good service reaches far and wide. Thanks again Catherine
Hey guys, Just wanted to say how happy I am with my Krank Highside. It does everything you said it would – defies the wind – stops overheating – it’s tough and looks great. I’ve worn it every day for the last 3 months in rain (lots of rain), wind, mud – I put it through the wash yesterday and it still looks brand new. I’m not easily impressed – but I am with this. Well done. Love the site as well. Cheers Dom.
Thanks for the quick service. The product is brilliant. You guys really know your stuff. Thanks for the little bag to, my youngest daughter has decided that that is hers. I have put your stickers all over my car and bike.I am so chuffed with the pants they really are the best I have seen.
Just wanted to let you know how impressed i am with your products and service. I received my highside, rush and socks the other day ( quicker than a UK distributor ). At first site i thought the tops to be too thin and light-weight for what i wanted but how wrong could i be! I went for a ride today and christened my gear and was very impressed with the performance, my Krank gear is certainly my favoured bit of kit now and I'll be spreading the word for sure. Keep a look out for my next order sometime soon!! Many thanks and fun riding! Craig in England
Thanks Krank, since I bought my Krank Rockets I have completed over 5,000km while wearing them. I've used them mostly on the mountainbike, but also on the road bike and for mag trainer sessions as well. I've worn them on fun rides, to podium results in races, in all kinds of weather, and over long distances on terrible terrain. I have not experienced one moment of discomfort - not even a hint of chafing, blistering or cysts to ruin my training. These are my favourite piece of cycling kit by far. Aaron Clark, Rangiora.
Hi Neil, I just had to write and tell you that the top arrived in perfect order Friday morning thankyou! It was my girlfriends’ birthday in September last year and I have been racking my brain trying to find her the ‘right’ gift. Nothing has turned up. When I somehow stumbled onto your website in the early hours of Thursday morning I thought I had hit the jackpot – albeit 5months late! I couldn’t wait and took it over to her first thing Friday and there she was getting ready to go mountain biking… Well as she opened the package and saw Krank and it was in that moment I knew I was in good! She ripped open the gift and … well… to put it mildly… she screamed! It fits her perfectly, she paraded around and squealed in delight (am sure you get the picture!)… It was the best gift! Just had to write and tell you it was the perfect birthday pressie for my mountain biking, ski junky mate! So thanks not only for providing a great service but products that simply ‘rock’!! Regards, Kim.
Hello again Kranky people, Just wanted to say i received my Rush top and am delighted. It was packed up so much better than i expected and felt like christmas what with the luxury paper wrap and super little carry sack etc. Looking to add more clothing soon.....well done guys and girls. Tony Ball,England.
Well I finally got to try out my new shorts team,(I have been laid up with some bloody flu for 3 weeks)and not only do they look fantastic, they perform even better than they look. You guys and girls certainly know your stuff.I will from now on be a Krank addict. Martin, NZ.
A cold and windy night greated us on wednesday, the southerly that had been taunting us with it's imminent arrival had let itself in and not bothered to wipe it's feet, it was perfect conditions for testing my new T-Bone. With nothing but a t-shirt on under it I was comfortably warm the whole ride, an occasional slight unzipping and I could lower my body temp at will In the last quarter of the ride the southerly came at us hard with a piercing head wind, but I was still nice and warm This top is almost too nice to ride in, I think I'll have to get another for wearing out and keep this one for riding. I would definately recommmend it to anyone whose after a quality wind breaker, whether it's for biking or not!!
I had my first major crash in my Krank Power Pants a few days ago. Was climbing up hill and decided to unclip to walk the rest ( ). I slowed down and unclipped my right foot as I was going to get off on that side (bank on the left), but my friend who was right behind me didn't realise I was stopping, so her front tyre got caught on my back tyre, and I fell off the left hand side with my foot still clipped in. I ended up upside down wedged between three logs (one on either side, and one at my head), with my friend sitting up beside me after falling down the bank too Umm. Yeah.. the point of the story was that I've got a few nice scratches on my upper thigh/hip from the branches on the logs as I fell, but my Krank Power Pants are still perfectly intact and don't look any worse for wear! Celia.
A big thanks to you guys as my new pair of Kingpins were waiting for me when I got to work this morning. Not only did they get to me in great time but it was a pleasant experience opening the package from the first rip of the courier bag, opening the krank bag, personalised letter, then the big one - the wrapped pair of Kingpins. Thanks heaps. Can't wait to test these puppies on the hills around Wellington this weekend.Cheers Warren NZ.
The Medium size Steamers are perfect and yep they feel great and don't pull down at back like my other ones do so I'm rapped. I'm also super impressed with the styling of it all, especially the outer top so I really want to get into riding in them.
Many Thanks and Regards Campbell.
Am absolutely over the moon with my Rockets, my wife is going to get some shortly too, had a decent ride in some pretty horrible weather on sunday and they were awesome, you don't realise you're wearing them and they're quite windproof, we had a mean headwind and were in the clouds around the summit rd and they were great!!! Had my T-Bone on as well so I was quite happy despite the inclement weather! Keep up the great work, the gear you are producing is superb, I can't recommend it to enough people, it beats gear costing twice as much and everyone I've recommended it to raves about it :-).
JeremyB.
Well I got to try my Jet with a ride at vegas Best riding top I have owned. Nice and cool for the temp we're riding in, also wicked away the sweet like nothing I have seen. Wore my Air-E-Ators They didn't make my feet all hot and sweety like some sock's do. Cheers Neil. Great Product at great prices with great service and I'm a pain to deal with.
Caidee and I got custom Grinders made by Krank and got them about a week or two ago. Got them made into shorties... They're super-fantastic, awesome fit, super comfy and they sit so well without needing yucky leg-grippers to stay in place. I prefer my Grinders to the #@&$## shorts I got at the same time. Neil is most excellent to deal with - he replied promptly, kept us informed and the packaging is so cool. I love how carefully wrapped everything is. Next pay will be a Tankit.. now if only the weather would co-operate and be warm, I'd be a happy camper RachelleR.
Just thought I'd let you know that I took my new Steamers up the Packhorse Track last night and can report that they are better than anything else I've worn. I will be recommending them and your Company to my fellow riders. Congratulations on a great product, impressive response, website, packaging and care with all the detail and design.
CU, Martin
Hi guys, I just wanted to let you know that my new Power Pants are the best damn mountainbiking shorts I have ever come across! Thank goodness someone has FINALLY come up with womens shorts that actually fit properly and look styley as well. How did you do it??!! All other womens MTB shorts I've tried (and there've been quite a few!) have been a terrible fit, really uncomfortable and look like you've borrowed your boyfriend's offcasts. But you've really hit the nail on the head with these and I'm going to rave about them to all my riding buddies! So thanks...it really made my day when I opened the parcel, tried them on and realised they were perfect.
Cheers Marion
